Recruitment day n a lesson learnt...

Today is the 2nd day of the sec 1 orientation as well as the CCA recruitment day... we reached skool at ard 0730h n started to set up our booth, which is the physics lab(morning class by class visit) n the circle of success(afternoon free roaming)...

The things were set up pretty quickly n at ard ten, the circle of success is ready... but after reviewing, a few more things were decided to be added... n all completed at ard 11.30 n we all go for lunch... then at 1230h, everyone was ready in their full uniform... n the cadets were briefed by the NCOs n the uniform were checked... finally, the sec 1s came down n the action began... everyone(i hope) did their part in explaining to the sec 1s abt NPCC... i walked ard taking photos of cadets interacting with the sec 1s... from wad i see, it is quite successful n that we had names taken down... there were also some which were very keen in joining the corps... at the end of the free roaming session, we packed up the place n decreased our booth size to 2 tables... then we went for dinner... at ard 6pm, cadets were dispatched to do road marshalling while others were to stand at the booth n talk to the parents abt NPCC... soon, it all ended n everyone cleared up the place... i was with the cadets doing marshalling... checking n making sure that they r safe as the road is dangerous especially on a night as such...

Well, i haf a learnt a lesson today... from the incident which happened, i realised that everyone have their pride... especially NCOs... i believe that NCOs shldn't be humiliated individually in front of cadets... even if we r angry, we shld at least pull the NCO some where else... if not, we could risk losing NCOs instead of training them to become better ppl... basically, as leaders, we haf to be sensitive of the feelings of our followers...
